Description
With the Magazineholder, we’ve revised one of our earliest designs, drawn by Anne Heinsvig and with a small twist of Oivind Slaatto around the strap and the button. Designed as an alternative to classic magazine holders, it beautifully fits the space next to the sofa or armchair – or next to your desk. It is created to fit most shelves, making it a candidate to be a document organizer too..
This Magazineholder is crafted in the most exquisite surplus leather from one of our amazing surplus leather partners e.g., Ecco Leather, Sorensen Leather and Fredericia Furniture. Crafting boxes from surplus materials means that sometimes there are small colour variations between batches and smaller – almost invisible – natural marks. We call it perfectly imperfect.
The colour of this Magazineholder is grey, but it also comes in black. Sometimes, when materials are available, we will have other beautiful colours.
On the interior The Magazineholder has a surplus fabric which comes from our fabric partners. The fabric will change depeding on what surplus we have in stock but it will always be matached to fit the leather.

Material: Surplus leather. The exact type of leather may differ from time to time, as this box is made from surplus leather and the leather quality used therefore depends on the available screenings of leather. The leather is however always among the highest quality of European aniline leather

It was during a personal search for storage solutions that the vision for August Sandgren originated. Crafted by hand in the best available materials
Each August Sandgren object is crafted by hand in Portugal by a fourth-generation family of craftsmen. They are not only incredibly talented, but also very dear to us.
The leather and fabrics that we use are all sourced in Europe and from leading tanneries offering transparency; from the origin of the hide to their Oeko-tex certified tanning processes.
Today, most of our objects are crafted in surplus materials sourced from the world’s leading furniture and fashion brands – we are not only very proud to contribute to waste reduction, but also to work with a quality that does not get any better!
It is easy to keep your object beautiful
We craft our objects to last – both in their construction and in our choice of materials. The construction is perfected in every aspect to ensure that it lasts, and to a large extent, so will the leather. The leather will, however, patinate, which we believe is part of its beauty and a testimony to how natural a product we create. To maintain our objects in the best possible way, and to keep it moist, you should leave it out of direct sunlight and every couple of years, treat it with leather grease – just use a soft, clean, cotton cloth and a thin layer of grease, and that’s it!
Make it personal!
All our leather objects can be personalised with name or initials. It is a small addition with a huge and valuable potential for appreciation from the receiver – that person being yourself or someone dear to you.
Personalising your object is easy and only increases delivery time with a maximum of two-three days.
